“I give thanks to the Lord because he makes all things right; I sing praises to the Lord Most High.” (Psalm 7: 17)

Evil may appear to win at times but God makes all things right in the end.

Lord,

   I praise you that even when impacted by evil I know you will work it all for good.

      That you are not overcome by evil,

      but in your unconquerable power you overcome it.

   Bring your power to my challenges,

      Your victory to my problems,

      And your praise to my lips.

“My shield and defense is God who saves those who are right with him in their heart.” (Psalm 7: 10)

You have protection not because of your power but God’s unlimited power.

Father,

   Thank you that when I feel weakest you show yourself strongest,

      When problems seem overwhelming, you reveal you are overcoming.

   Bring your power into my circumstances today,

      Overcome the challenges that seem overwhelming,

      And help me to rest in the confidence that you are overcoming.

“Rise up Lord in your anger against the rage of my enemies.  Awake God, and bring your justice.” (Psalm 7: 6)

Enemies my try to hurt you but God in his power will rescue you.

Lord,

   I’ve been hurt by those who wish me harm,

      But I know you can rescue me from their plans,

      And turn their hurts into healing.

   Protect me from my enemies,

      Lead me from their hurts to your healing,

      Help me to rest in your justice freed from seeking my own.

“Hear my prayer, Lord, and deliver me from all of my troubles.  Save me out of them because of your never failing love.” (Psalm 6: 4)

Sometimes it seems God doesn’t hear, yet, he is always waiting simply for you to ask.

Father,

   Here I am again, my life feels overwhelming.

      Yet, I know you haven’t left and you hear me.

      And love me with a love that never fails.

   Hear my prayers.  

      Let me see your power.

      Help me feel your presence.
