“Lord, in the morning you hear my voice, as I lay out my requests before you and wait expectantly for you to answer.” (Psalm 5: 3)
Every morning is a fresh new day filled with the expectation of God’s new blessings.
Lord,
As I begin this new day,
One filled with challenges and opportunities,
I know you are with me and look expectantly for your blessings.
Be with me today in all of your power,
Fill up my needs with all of your gifts,
Fill me with expectation so I may see your realization.
Amen
“I will lie down and sleep peacefully because, Lord, you keep me safe and secure.” (Psalm 4: 8)
Peaceful sleep is a gift from God when you rest in his promised power.
Father,
So many worries assault my mind at times,
Yet, you promise to protect and guide me through them all,
And the peaceful sleep that flows from that promise.
Fill me with confidence in your love and power,
The peace that flows out of it,
And the restful sleep that results from it.
Amen
“Perfect help comes from God. And all his blessings are bestowed on his people.” (Psalm 3: 8)
Whatever your need God’s answer is perfect. And his blessings which fill up your life.
Lord,
My needs are great and seem overwhelming,
Yet, I know your power is greater,
And your promises are perfect.
Fill up my needs with your perfect help,
Fill up my life with your perfect blessings,
And help me to rest expecting both.

“I lie down and sleep, and wake refreshed, because the Lord cares for me.” (Psalm 3: 5)
No matter your worries, God grants you refreshing sleep as you rest in his care.
Father,
Thank you that no matter what I may worry about,
At night I can rest in your care and love,
And the gift of your refreshing sleep.
Tonight, help me to rest in that confidence,
Give me your refreshing sleep,
And a bright new day tomorrow, filled with your blessings.

“Lord, you give me the gift of honor and esteem.” (Psalm 3: 3)
The world may tell you you’re not special, but God gifts you with honor and esteem.
Lord,
Thank you that no matter how the world may view me,
In you, I am important,
Given the gift of honor and esteem.
Help me to never doubt my worth,
But to accept it by faith as a gift from you,
And to live it out in the fullness you promise.

“Oh Lord, you are a shield that surrounds me.” (Psalm 3: 3)
People and problems may threaten you, but God’s all powerful shield always protects you.
Lord,
I feel threatened by problems and people around me,
Yet, I know in you, your powerful shield surrounds me,
And though I may be overpowered you never will be.
Change my focus from the problems and people who threaten,
To you who protects and blesses,
And keep me safely surrounded by your never failing shield.

“Blessed are all those who take refuge in the Lord.” (Psalm 2: 12)
You may have challenges in this world but God protects and blesses you in spite of them.
Lord,
Problems and challenges surround me,
Yet, I know in you, none can touch me,
And in spite of them you bless me.
Fill me with, eyes of faith to seek your shelter,
Courage in the midst of the challenges,
And your blessings which overcome them all.

“Ask of me and I will give you an unlimited inheritance.” (Psalm 2: 8)
No matter how meager your earthly inheritance your heavenly one is unlimited.
Father,
Sometimes I fixate on all I wish for instead of all I have,
Yet, you offer me all good and perfect things,
An inheritance beyond limits.
Help me to rest in the confidence of your inheritance,
Open my eyes with the expectation of your riches,
Fill my life with the inheritance you delight to give.
Amen
“The Lord watches over the path of those who walk with him.” (Psalm 1: 6)
No matter how blind your road the Lord is watching over and guiding you.
Lord,
My path at times seems dark and confusing,
Yet, I know you are with me holding my hand,
Watching in the darkness, guiding me into the light.
Lead me in the darkness,
Comfort me in the confusion,
And lead me into the light of your promised life.
Amen
“The one who meditates on God’s word will not wither in the drought but will prosper in everything he does.” (Psalm 1: 3)
You may face droughts in life but God’s life giving water will renew you.
Father,
Thank you, that when I walk through the droughts,
You pour out your refreshing streams of water within me,
Prospering me by your power and love.
When I’m in the droughts,
Help me to look to your promises,
Refresh in your living water,
And live in the prosperity you give.
