“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall want for nothing.” (Psalm 23: 1)

You may wish for much, your shepherd provides so you’ll want for nothing.

Lord,

Thank you for all you have provided.  For fulfilling many wishes and all of my needs.

I will rest from striving in you.  Expecting you to fill up my needs.  Knowing I’ll want for nothing.

“All thanks to God, for He gives us victory over everything through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57)

Challenges may seem overwhelming.  But God’s power is overcoming.

Lord, 

I praise you that no matter what challenges I face, you give me victory through your unconquerable power.

Help me to live confidently in your promise.  So I may see your unlimited victory.

Amen.

“God will fill up all your needs according to all the riches of heaven in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

Your riches may fail to fill all your needs but God’s riches are inexhaustible.

Father, 

Thank you for your inexhaustible riches which you give to fill up all of my needs.

Fill me with them today and help me to look expectantly each day for your gifts.

“Bless the Lord who everyday loads our lives with his blessings.” (Psalm 68:19)

We can try to bless ourselves with God’s gifts or trust him to give them.

Lord,

Thank you that every day you load my life with all of your gifts out of your grace.

Fill up today with those gifts.  And help me to rest with confidence in them and you.

“Those who know you Lord trust in you because you have never forsaken those who walk with you.” (Psalm 9:10)

We have confidence for the future because God has never forsaken us in the past.

Lord, 

Thank you for your faithfulness and the confidence it inspires.

Help me to walk in that confidence for the future as I remember your gifts of the past.
