“This is what God has shown you:  He has given you eternal life and this life has its source in his Son.” (1 John 5: 11)

We’re promised eternal life not because of our goodness but because we trust in his son’s.

“This is the gift Christ himself promised to give us — eternal life.” (1 John 2: 25)

We each will face the end of our days yet, we have confidence it is only really the beginning.

“I am writing to you who trust in the Son of God.  I want you to know and and have confidence that you already have eternal life.” (1 John 5: 13)

Father,

Thank you giving me your gift of eternal life,

And confidence that it can never be taken away.

“Those who accept my words and trust in the one who sent me already have eternal life.  They will not be judged because they have already crossed over from death to life.” (John 5: 24)

Father,

Thank you that you have given me eternal life,

And that I will never lose it or be condemned,

Because that life has already begun.

“The ones who have eternal life are those who know and trust in you the only true God and in Jesus Christ whom you sent.” (John 17: 3)

Father,

Thank you for your gift of eternal life,

That I can know you know,

And live with you forever.

“I tell you the truth, whoever trusts in my words and believes in the Father who sent me has eternal life.  They will never be judged because they have already passed from death to life.” (John 5: 24)

Father,

Thank you for your gift of eternal life,

Real life that begins now and goes on for eternity.

Thank you that as I trust in you I will never be condemned,

For I have already passed from death into that life.

Father,

Thank you for the gift of eternal life with you,

And that I can know you and Jesus now and forever.

“God loved those in this world so much that he sent his one and only Son, so that everyone who trusts in him will never perish but will have life that goes on forever.” (John 3: 16)

Father,

Thank you for the gift of your son and the eternal life you give me through him,

And though, one day I will face earthly death, I know that it’s not the end only the beginning.

Thank you for the life you are giving me,

A life of abundance now,

And a life of blessing which never ends.
