Encouragement Today: Find Joy in the Midst of Sorrow

“Weeping may last for a night, but joy comes again in the morning.”  (Psalm 30:5)

Prayer:  Lord, I praise you that when I weep you will bring me joy.  Surprise me today.

Encouragement Today: Forgiveness Today, Blessings for Life

“God’s anger lasts only a moment, but his favor is for a lifetime.”  (Psalm 30:5)

Prayer:  Father, thank you for your continual forgiveness.  I ask for it and rest in it.

Encouragement Today: Believe and Receive

“Whatever you ask for in prayer, if you really believe, you will receive it.”  (Matthew 21:22)

Prayer:  Father, thank you for your power and love which is limitless.  Help me believe, to see it.

Prayer Today:  Lord, when I come to the end of myself there I discover you.  I need you today.

Prayer Today:  Thank you that I am your child, especially when I feel lonely.  Abba Father, love me today.

Prayer Today:  Lord, sometimes I feel overwhelmed with challenges.  Thank you for protecting and strengthening me.  Be with me now.

“As a mother comforts her child so will I comfort you.”  (Isaiah 66: 13)

Prayer Today:  Father, when I am distressed you are there.  Comfort me today with your peace and presence.

Encouragement Today: You are Special So Live It

Prayer Today:  Father, when I feel down you remind me I’m special.  Help me to live today the life you created for me.

Today’s Encouragement: Not a Slave but a Son

“You are no longer a slave, but instead my son.” (Galatians 4:7)

Religion and society tell you, “You’re a powerless slave.”  Jesus says instead, “You’re my power-filled child.”

Today’s Encouragement: Fretting or Seeing?

“Rest quietly in the Lord and wait patiently for him to act.” (Psalm 37:7)

When we’ve come to the end of our fretting, it’s time to wait expectantly and see God act.
