“They will declare to future generations how the Lord saved his people. He finished it.” (Psalm 22: 31)
Lord,
Thank you that in your grace alone I am saved,
And by your act of supreme love, as you proclaimed, it is finished.
Save me by your power, accept me by your grace.
And fill me with confidence in your promise that truly it is finished.
Amen
“The rich and powerful will worship the Lord, those who are mortal will bow before him.” (Psalm 22: 29)
Lord,
You are my lord, the one who is all powerful,
The one who saves me, the one who protects me, the one who blesses me.
Save me in your grace, give me life in your love,
Fill me wonder in your majesty, and joy in your presence.
Amen
“The Lord is king and he rules over every nation.” (Psalm 22: 28)
Lord,
You are king of this world, no one is greater.
Your power is unconquerable and your will is unbreakable.
Protect me with your strength, shield me with your power.
Defeat those who work evil and empower those who work good.
Amen
“All people everywhere will remember and come back to the Lord, and all nations will bow down before him.” (Psalm 22: 27)
Lord,
You are Lord of all, the one with all power,
The one I trust in, the one I rest in.
Show your power, reveal your strength,
In my life and in our world.

“The poor will eat until they are full; those who seek the Lord will praise him now and rejoice forever.” (Psalm 22: 26)
Lord,
I praise you that when I’ve been most needy you have been most generous.
And I praise you that you fill me with joy both now and forever.
Meet me in my need, feed me until I’m full,
Fill me with your joy for today and forever.

“He does not ignore the suffering of the poor; he does not turn away from them, but answers when they cry for help.” (Psalm 22: 24)
Father,
When I’ve been hurting you’ve been with me healing,
And when I cry for help you are with me answering.
Be with me now, hear my prayers, answer my crys.
And give me peace in expecting and confidence in seeing.

“To you my forefathers cried out and were saved; they trusted you and were never disappointed.” (Psalm 22: 5)
Father,
Thank you that when I’ve cried out in need you have always answered,
When I trust in you for your answers I am never disappointed.
Today, be with me in my needs, answer my prayers with your power.
Help me to ask for what you delight to give, and to expect what you promise.

“Lord, my ancestors put their confidence in you; they trusted you and you saved them.” (Psalm 22: 4)
Father,
You were there for my parents answering their prayers, and you have always answered mine.
So today when faced with uncertainty I will be confident and trust you to be faithful again.
Be with me in the challenges, protect me from evil, answer my cries.
Fill me with faith when mine fails and vision to see you when I am blind.

“Lord, you are seated in power on your holy throne, you are the one we praise.” (Psalm 22: 3)
Lord,
When my power is not enough, your power is more than enough.
When I feel overwhelmed, I know you are never overwhelmed.
Bring your power into my weakness, and your holiness into my fears.
Give me peace in expecting your power, and praise in seeing it.

“Show us your power Lord, we will sing and praise you for your unmatched strength.” (Psalm 21: 13)
Lord,
Sometimes it seems my foes are too strong and my strength is too weak.
Yet, your power is unconquerable and your strength is unmatched.
Bring your power to my challenges, and your strength into my weakness,
Help me to view my foes through your eyes so I am filled with your confidence.
